If the symb ol illumina t es , the light senso r has failed. For safe ty
reasons, the low beams are turned on permanently w it h the switch in
AUTO.
Howeve r, you can cont inue to turn the ligh ts on and off using
the light sw itch . In the case of a defect in t he ra in sensor, the wind-
shield wipe r leve r func t ions ar e still avail able. Have t he ligh t/rain
sensor chec ked as soo n as poss ible at an authorized Audi dealer . •
