switched on.

quickly.

A low press ure or flat front tire affects vehicle hand ling cha racteris -
tic s by pulling th e veh icle sligh t ly to t he side whe re th e t ire is
mounted and reduces brak ing pe rfo rmance.
A low press ure or fla t rear tire al so affects dr iving ch ar act e rist ics by
pulling to th e s ide where t he tire is mo unt ed and also reduc es br aking
per formance . The effect on veh icle han dling is most noticeable w hen
dr iving a round curves.

WARNING
Changed vehicle handling characteristics when driving in the run-
flat mode can cause loss of vehicle control, a crash and serious
personal injury.

Driving on special run-flat tires in the run-flat mode will
change vehicle handling character istics during braking, when
cornering and under heavy acceleration.
Never drive faster than the maximum rated speed of SO mph
(80 km/h ) when driving in the run-flat mode.
Always adjust vehicle speed to traffic, road and weather condi-
tions and drive slower than the maximum rated speed if necessary
weather and road conditions are taken into account .
Always obey speed limits and other traffic laws .

flat tires.
You may use and co mbine only a ppr ove d run- fla t ti res and specia l
matching rims t hat have been designed for run -flat tires . Mounting
special run -fla t tires on stand a rd wheels will no t wo rk and will not
prov ide the adva ntages fo t he run-fa lt feat ur e . Never use specia l run-
fla t t ires on st andar d wheel rims .
After dr iving wit h a tire in t he ru n-flat m ode, always have t he vehi cle
and affected tire(s) and rim(s) inspected by an a utho rized Audi
de a ler. Tires t ha t have bee n d riven in th e run-flat m od e m ust be
rep laced.
