Preliminary
steps
Some preliminary steps are necessary for tire repair.

- If you have a flat tire, park the veh icle as far as possible
from moving traffic.
- Apply the parking brake firmly .
- Move t he selector lever to the P position .
Check whether a repair using the Tire Mobility System is
possible=>

- Have all passengers
leave the vehicle and stay away from
the da nger zone =>& .
- Take the sealant bottle and the electric air pump from the
luggage compartment
under t he floor=> fig. 155 .

Rem ove the "max . 50 m p h" (80 km /h) sticker from the
sealant bottle and aff ix it to the instrument
cluster in the
driver's view .

WARNING
• Turn th e hazard fla s hers on and s et up the warning triangle if
you have a flat tire in moving t raffic . In this way you protect your-
self and other road use rs.
•
Make sure tha t all passengers are in a safe place, out of the
danger zon e (for exampl e, behind a guard rail).
