Cause
Pump pressure too high.
Glue per unit target needs
to be reset.
Nozzle size was increased.
The melter ran out of
adhesive.
Worn or damaged pump
seals.
No signal from the cycle
switch.
A previously installed
license key was removed
from the unit
USB logging disabled.
System is operating in
manual fill mode.
Refills are taking longer
than expected and may
soon result in failure to fill.
Pump maintenance is due
according to the
user-defined settings for
pump cycles, material
dispensed, or time while
hot.
An applicator or hose
temperature deviated below
setpoint.
Solution
✓Check if pump pressure as been increased from
desired level.
✓Navigate to material tracking page from home
screen and reset target setting.
✓Check if desired nozzle size is installed.
✓Refill feed bin or hopper.
✓Reduce adhesive flow rate.
✓Verify adhesive temperature setting.
✓See Fill System Verification Checklist,
page 73.
✓Inspect pump seals. Replace if necessary.
✓Verify connection from cycle switch to J5 on the
AMZ.
✓Replace cycle switch. See Replace Cycle
Switch Sensor, page 84.
✓If 4 channel operation is still desired, reinstall the
license key. Otherwise, 4 channel operation will
be disabled after 2 hours.
✓Enable USB logging.
✓Change to auto fill mode.
✓See Fill System Verification Checklist,
page 73.
✓Perform maintenance.
✓Install a properly functioning applicator or hose.
✓Check the component RTD. See Typical Hose
and Applicator Wiring, page 106.
✓Applicator: Turn on system without dispensing.
Check if the applicator maintains a stable setpoint
temperature.
✓Hose: Turn on the system without dispensing.
Verify melter temperature setting is not higher
than hose setting. Check if hose maintains stable
setpoint temperature.
