SSCL Command Phases
The SSCL architecture defines five phases or operating modes, described in the following
table. Each phase is distinct and mutually exclusive.

SSCL Interface Phases
Four SSCL operating parameters are monitored. These phases of the parameters indicate
the current state of the SSCL interface. The first three parameters, n1, n2, and n3, can
be in any of one of the five phases or modes. The fourth parameter,n4, cover/beeper
status, is a hexadecimal value from 0h to Fh. See

The library returns the phases of the operating parameters when queried by the host or
