Field Definitions

Element Address (Bytes 00 - 01)
The element address field gives the address for the storage element whose status is
reported by this element descriptor block.
Access (Byte 02, bit 3)
This field indicates that access to the entry/exit port by the Gripper Arm Mechanism is
allowed. The value reported for this field is 1.
Except (Byte 02, bit 2)
An exception (Except) bit of 1 indicates the element is in an abnormal state.
0 - An exception bit of 0 indicates the element is in a normal state.
1 - If the bit is 1, information on the abnormal state may be available in the Additional
Sense Code (ASCQ) and Additional Sense Code (ASC) qualifier bytes.
Full (Byte 02, bit 0)
The Full bit indicates whether the element contains a unit of media.
0 - A value of 0 indicates that the element does not contain a unit of media.
1 - A value of 1 indicates that the element contains a unit of media.
Additional Sense Code (Byte 04, bits 7-0)
The ASC may provide specific information on an abnormal element state. The values in
this field are as defined for the additional sense code of the Request Sense data (see
on page 109).
Additional Sense Code Qualifier (Byte 05, bits 7-0)
The ASCQ may provide specific information on an abnormal element state. The values
in this field are as defined for the additional sense code of the Request Sense data (see
on page 109).
