Additional Sense Code (Byte 04, bits 7-0)
The additional sense code field (ASC) may provide specific information on an abnormal
element state. The values in this field are as defined for the additional sense code of the
Request Sense data (see

Additional Sense Code Qualifier (Byte 05, bits 7-0)
The additional sense code qualifier field (ASCQ) may provide specific information on an

SValid (Byte 09, bit 7)
The library only tracks the previous locations of data cartridges for tapes in drives. For
example: you power up the library, all SValid entries are blank. You then move a tape from
slot 4 to drive 1, then from the drive back to slot 4. The SValid bit for this tape is now
set and the Source Storage Element Address entry is 1, the number of the last drive in
which the tape was located.
Invert (Byte 09, bit 6)
The library uses single-sided media and does not support inverted media. The
information reported for this field is 0.
Source Storage Element Address (Bytes 10 - 11)
The library only tracks previous locations of data cartridges for tapes in drives. For a tape
whose SValid bit is set, the information reported for this field is the number of the drive
in which this tape was last located.
Primary Volume Tag Information (Bytes 12 - 47)
When the PVolTag field is set to 1, this field contains the Volume Tag information of the
storage location.
