Extended Sense Data (Byte 01, bits 7-0)
The value for this field is 0.
Sense Key (Byte 02, bits 3-0)
The values contained in the Sense Key field are defined below. This table includes only
those sense key values supported by the library.

Information Bytes (Bytes 03 - 06)
This sense field is not supported by the library.
Additional Sense Length (Byte 07, bits 7-0)
This byte indicates the Additional Sense Length provided by the library, excluding this
byte. The value is 0Ah.

Meaning
Explanation
No Sense
Indicates that there is no specific Sense Key
information to be reported for the library.
Not Ready
Indicates that the library cannot be accessed.
Operator intervention may be required to correct
this condition.
Hardware Error Indicates that the library detected a non-
recoverable Hardware Error failure while
performing the command or during a self-test.
Illegal Request Indicates that there was an illegal parameter in
the command descriptor block or in the additional
parameters supplied as data for some command,
or the library is in the wrong mode to execute the
command.
Unit
Indicates that the data cartridge inventory may

Vendor Unique Indicates vendor-specific information.
