    You will need: A UCM Board Replacement Kit is needed to install a new UCM board into a Spectra 4000-10000 Tape Library.     Caution: The UCM board is an Electrostatic Sensitive Device (ESD). Use the static strap enclosed with the Spectra Logic UCM replacement kit while handling assemblies inside the library. Connect the static strap to your wrist and to the edge of the library chassis to ensure a ground connection Figure 5 UCM board location.

As soon as possible after removal, place the old UCM board into the anti-static bag in which the new UCM board assembly was shipped. Caution: Continue to keep the anti-static strap attached to your wrist and to the library at all times while handling the UCM board.

Use a #1 Phillips screwdriver to remove the captive screws which attach the UCM bracket to the baseplate of the library (Figure 11). Use your #1 Phillips screwdriver to remove the screws attaching each of the cable straps to the UCM board (Figure 13). Figure 13 Remove the cable straps. 9. Remove the two yellow SCSI ribbon cables from the UCM board (Figure 14). Caution: Pull the connectors straight out and away from the UCM board.
