Field Definitions

Logical Unit Number (Byte 01, bits 7-5)
The library does not support Logical Unit Numbers, so this field must be 0.
PF (Byte 01, bit 4)
The Page Format field indicates that the parameters for the diagnostic tests are vendor-
specific. The valid value for this field is 0.
SelfTest (Byte 01, bit 2)
This field specifies that the library perform its power-up self tests. A value other than
SelfTest = 1 causes the command to terminate with an Illegal Request. The library
performs the self test, and if the tests pass successfully, the command completes with a
Good status. If the tests fail, the command completes with a Check Condition (Hardware
Error).
DevOfl (Byte 01, bit 1))
This field indicates whether the diagnostic test is to be performed with the library off-line
or on-line. The test must be performed with the library on-line. The valid value for this
field is 0.
UnitOfl (Byte 01, bit 0)
This field indicates that the library is a single logical unit. The valid value for this field is
0.
Parameter List Length (Bytes 03 - 04)
This indicates the length of the parameter list sent with this command. The valid value
for this field is 00h.
Vendor Specific Page (not currently implemented)
The Vendor Specific Page indicates the diagnostic test to be performed and any
parameters associated with a particular test. The library does not support this page, so the
value for these fields should be 00h.
