7.1 Syslog
The logdump can be generated and downloaded from the web GUI under the
Management > Misc > Dumplog tab or from the CLI executing the following com-
mand:
wrz_logdump –a -o /root/
The wrz_ logdump contains different files that are useful to debug problems
including the following information:
All the logging information under /var/log/ is rotated for security reasons. This
prevents to use all the available memory in the device in case the log files sud-
denly increase and is performed automatically when the file size exceeds 5 MB.

Configuration

The logging configuration can be performed through the wrz_config tool in the
CLI. Once the tool is launched, the logging configuration parameters can be
found under Management > Logging.

The content of /boot and /media partitions including information about the
software
The main configuration from the /root/.config file
Information about the interfaces, IP addresses, netmask, packets, status,
etc
Information about interrupts from the HW
Information related with memory status
The systemlog file under /var/log/systemlog
Information about uboot and versions
Note: The Safran support service will require the wrz_ logdump
information in order to debug any issues. Please, download and
attach this information when opening a support ticket.
Note: Log rotation only affects the files with extension .log. Other
files contained in /var/log/ folder are not affected.
