3) Bin shift motor control
The bin shift motor (M9) is a 4-phase control stepping
motor. ON/OFF and rotation direction of bin shift
motor (M9) are changed by controlling the output
timing of pulse signals A, A*, B, B*.
When the bin shift motor (M9) is in HOLD state, the
output timing of pulse signals A,A*, B, B* is fixed, and

4) Bin shift motor rotation control
Continuous or intermittent rotation of the bin shift
motor which is used to drive the lead cams is
controlled based on the copy speed data which is sent
from the copying machine.
Continuous rotation: Copy speed 20 CPM or more
Intermittent rotation: Copy speed less than 20 CPM
In case of continuous rotation the microcomputer
provided on the sorter controller PWB controls the

When the bin shift operation prohibition signal
(SFTLIM) is output, the bin shift motor (M9) cannot be
driven. The bin shift prohibition signal (SFTLIM) is
output when the paper holder sensor (PI11) is off.
