2) Operation
The sorter controller PWB sends the drive signal
(HLDSLD) to the position fixing pawl release solenoid
(SL2) to release the position fixing pawl. After that, the
stapler unit starts to move toward the rear side. When
the stapler unit starts to move toward the rear side, the
direction change lever is detached from the rail. As a
result, the stapler unit is turned by 45˚ counterclockwise,
so that it is set in the double stapling and single stapling
position.
The position fixing pawl is automatically engaged after
the staple unit is set in the specific direction, so that the
stapler unit is fixed.

The position fixing pawl release solenoid (SL2) is
turned on, and the position fixing pawl is
disengaged.
2)
The stapler unit starts to move toward the rear side.
