2) Operation
The stapler unit is shifted only when single stapling or
double stapling is performed. It is not shifted when
corner stapling is performed.
Receiving the signal from the sorter controller PWB,
the stapler unit shift motor (M3) shifts the stapler unit
to the specified position. It has two stop positions
excepting its home position.

3) Stop position detection
The stapler unit stop position is detected by the
stapler unit position sensor (S2). This sensor consists
of two photointurupters. The sensors detect the home
position and stapling position.
These functions are intended to ensure stapling only
in correct position. When the staples unit position
sensor (S2) is turned on, the staple enable signal
(SEBL) is generated, thereby enabling stapling
operation.
