C Reference wall motor error
Causes/Defective parts Step
Cable 1 Check that the cable between the sorter
controller PWB and the bin unit control PWB has
been connected correctly.
Circuit breaker 2 Check that the circuit breaker (CB1) provided on
the sorter controller PWB is operative.
24V power 3 Set the tester to the 50VDC range. Check that
supply failure voltage between J1-4(+) and J1-3(-) provided on
the sorter controller PWB is about 24V.
4 Check that voltage between J2-2(+) and J2-1(-)
provided on the sorter controller PWB is about
24V.
Reference wall 5 Check that pulse output is obtained at the
motor(M6) connectors J304-7 to 10 provided on the bin unit
control PWB with reference wall motor operation
timing. Check also that +24V is obtained on
J304-6 in operating state and +5V in
nonoperating state.
Bin unit control 6 Check whether normal operation is restored by
PWB replacing the bin unit control PWB.

NO Check 24V power supply for the
copying machine.
NO Check 24V power supply for the
copying machine.
YES Check the wiring to the reference
wall motor. If it is normal, replace
the reference wall motor.
YES Replace the bin unit control PWB.
NO Replace the sorter controller PWB.
