Task Description
05-6300 Camshaft Removal and Installation
Preparatory operations:
Engine removed (00-0008)
Rocker shaft supports removed.
Push rods removed.
Engine rotated (cylinder heads facing downwards).
Oil pan removed (01-7500).
Gear case removed (01-8205).

Removal/installation
Remove tachometer drive (if installed) from crankcase
at front.
Bar engine in direction of rotation so that markings of
camshaft in relation to crankshaft are aligned (arrows).
Remove camshaft.
Note
Do not damage camshaft bearing.
Install in reverse order.
Fill engine oil system, (18-1601).
