The DIMM slots are structured to ensure proper installation. If you try to insert a DIMM but it does not
fit easily into the slot, you might have positioned it incorrectly. Reverse the orientation of the DIMM
and insert it again.

Install the system air baffle on page 31.
10. Install the PCI air baffle on page 30.
11. Install the access panel on page 26.
12. Do one of the following:
Server in rack mode: Install the server into the rack on page 53.
Server in tower mode: Return the server to an upright position.
13. Connect all peripheral cables to the server.
14. Connect each power cord to the server.
15. Connect each power cord to the power source.
16. Power up the server on page 23.
The installation is complete.
After installing the DIMMs, use the System Utilities > System Configuration > BIOS/Platform
Configuration (RBSU) > Memory Options to configure the memory settings.

M.2 SSD enablement option

The M.2 SSD enablement board is supported in the PCIe3 expansion slots 1, 3, and 4. This enablement
board is not a detectable option in the System Utilities > System Configuration > BIOS/Platform
Configuration (RBSU) > Storage Options > PCIe Storage Boot Policy setting.
