Extend the server from the rack.

Remove the server from the rack.

6. Remove the access panel.
7. Install the energy pack and connect the cable.
8. Connect the storage controller backup power cable.
9. Install the access panel.
10. Install the server into the rack.
11. Connect all peripheral cables to the server.
12. Connect each power cord to the server.
13. Connect each power cord to the power source.
14. Power up the server.
15. If removed, install the front bezel.
The installation is complete.

M.2 SSD enablement option

The server supports the installation of one M.2 SSD enablement board. Each enablement board can support two M.2 SSDs.
The M.2 SSD enablement board is supported in the PCIe3 expansion slots 1–3.
Use the embedded HPE Smart Array S100i SR Gen10 Controller to manage the M.2 SATA SSDs. The S100i SR Gen10 SW
RAID support requires that the server boot mode be set to UEFI.
