11. Make sure that the controller board is firmly seated in the slot.
12. Cable the controller.
13. To enable HPE Smart Array SR SmartCache in a Smart Array P-class type-p Gen10 controller, connect
the storage controller backup power cable.
SmartCache and CacheCade enable solid-state drives to be used as caching devices for hard drive
media. These features accelerate access to frequently used data by caching hot data from the hard
drives onto the solid-state drives.
14. Install the system air baffle on page 31.
15. Install the PCI air baffle on page 30.
16. Install the access panel on page 26.
17. Do one of the following:
Server in rack mode: Install the server into the rack on page 53.
Server in tower mode: Return the server to an upright position.
18. Connect all peripheral cables to the server.
19. Connect each power cord to the server.
20. Connect each power cord to the power source.
21. Power up the server on page 23.
22. Configure the storage controller.
The installation is complete.
