3.2 About HIT440

The HIT440 is a straightf orward Hearing Instrument Testing system suited f or all types of hearing aids. The
system includes ANSI or IEC standards which can be selected f rom the main screen. This allows f or easy
technical measures and comparison to the hearing aid manuf acturer's data sheets.
The HIT440 also of f ers testing of advanced algorithms such as directionality and contains a wide range of
test stimuli designed f or non-linear hearing aids including the ISTS and ICRAs. These allow you to have an
impression of the algorithms f unctioning together during quick changes in amplitude, f requency, and phase.
HIT440 is f lexible and permits the creation of an unlimited number of personalized test protocols for different
purposes and/or f or dif ferent prof essionals working in the same f acility. This enables each individual
prof essional to setup the module exactly the way they wish using the specif ic tests, stimuli, and settings they
pref er. These personal test protocols can swif tly and easily be chosen at any time accommodating the need
f or speed in a busy clinic.
Furthermore, the HIT440 allows you to make individual print layouts, keep reports electronically, and
compare actual curves to previous sessions. These numerous setup options can be very helpf ul and time
saving in the daily work in the clinic.
