2.5.10 Comparing to the hearing aid fitting software

Real-ear measures are of ten compared to the hearing aid manuf acturer's sof tware. You can run the
REM440 and f itting software simultaneously within Noah4. If real-ear measures reveal too little or too much
gain in some f requency areas, enter the f itting software and adjust gain using the relevant gain controls.
When comparing the measured real-ear curve to the hearing aid manuf acturer's f itting software it is
important keep in mind certain f actors to have a valid comparison. Theref ore, remember to check that the
parameters used in the f itting sof tware should be the same as in the REM440 module.
1) Ensure that the curve type is the same as simulated in the f itting sof tware (e.g., do not compare an
REAG in the REM440 to a REIG in the f itting software).
2) Ensure that the stimulus is the as close as possible to the stimulus simulated in the f itting sof tware.
3) Ensure that the input level is the same as in the f itting software.
4)
Ensure that the fitting prescription details in the f itting software are the same as used in the REM440
module.

The On top mode button
