2.15.4 Speech intelligibility index

As a supporting f eature the SII (Speech Intelligibility Index) indicates improved audibility expressed in a
percent on the aided display.
SII is a method f or computing a physical measure of the intelligibility of speech. The method is based on
results of the speech perception tests in each group of talkers and listeners. The SII is calculated f rom
acoustical measurements of speech and noise, considering the level of the distortion f actor at standard
