2.9 General setup

In the General Setup you can select overall settings which are valid f or all tests.
To enter the General setup, select Menu/Setup/General Setup

In-situ loudspeaker:

Select the speaker output through which the stimuli f or the real-ear measurements are presented.
FF2 or FF1: If using the Af f inity

loudspeakers select FF1 or FF2 and plug the speaker into the corresponding outputs on the
hardware.
FF2 (Left) + FF1 (Right): If you wish to use FF2 f or the lef t ear and FF1 f or the right ear select

FF2 (Left) + FF1 (Right).
Internal: This is only an option when using the Af f inity

will automatically choose Internal meaning that the stimuli will be presented f rom the loud
speaker in the Af f inity
Use line output: This is only an option when using the Af f inity

used when two external f ree f ield speakers are connected. Ticking the check box will ensure
that only the f ree f ield speaker corresponding to the ear being measured is presenting the
stimulus.
Insitu headset socket

Left: If ticking this option, the system will only use the lef t Insitu socket. This would mean that

when changing ear, the in-situ headset should f ollow.
Right: If ticking this option, the system will only use the right Insitu socket. This would mean

that when changing ear, the in-situ headset should f ollow.
Left and Right: This option is selected by def ault. Both sides of the Insitu headset are then in

use.
Environmental noise

Show warning: Ticking this option will prompt the sof tware to show a warning screen if the

ambient noise in the environment reaches a level which can af f ect the measurement.
Warble adjustment:

Modulation Rate: Select a modulation rate f or Warble Tone stimuli (in Hz) using the slider.

Frequency Deviation: Select a f requency deviation f or Warble Tone stimuli (in %) using the

slider.
