Compressor belt check
The drive belt of the air-conditioning compressor shall
be periodically checked in order to grant the proper op-
eration of the air-conditioning system.
To check the drive belt of the air-conditioning compres-
sor, proceed as follows:
1. Stop the engine, and remove the starter key.
2. Inspect the pulleys and the drive belt for excessive
wear or damages. Make sure that the drive belt is
correctly engaged to the grooves of the pulleys.
NOTICE: The drive belt shall be replaced if it is
stretched or cracked in order not to let it worn out.
3. Check the tension of the drive belt by applying fin-
ger pressure of about 10 kg (22.0 lb) on the point
indicated by the black arrow. Loose of tension
should be about 5 – 7 mm (0.2 – 0.3 in).
If needed, restore the proper tension by acting on
the tensioning screw (1).
