1. Set the fuel valves (A) and (B) as follows.
Fuel cut valve (A): open
Fuel main filter valve (B): to tank
2. Loosen the air bleed plug (2) on fuel filter (1).
3. Turn the starter key to ON positon to activate the fuel
feed pump.
NOTICE: Do not keep the starter key to ON position
for more than 5 min. Failing to comply will result in se-
rious damages to the fuel feed pump and to the electric
system of the machine. If air bleeding is not completed
after 5 min, stop the procedure and turn the starter key
to OFF position for 2 min. Then turn the starter key to
ON position again and complete the bleeding proce-
dure.
4. Turn the handle of the priming pump (3) to the left and
it will spring up due to the spring inside the handle.
5. By moving the priming pump (3) , the fuel that contains
bubbles can be drained from the air bleed plug.
Move the priming pump until no air comes out from the
air bleed plug (2) .
6. Snug tighten the air bleed plug (2).
7. Move the priming pump until the fuel filter is filled with
fuel (10 times or more).
8. Wait about 1 min and loosen the air bleed plug.
9. Repeat steps 6 through 8 until no air comes out from
the air bleed plug (at least 3 times). Tighten the air
bleed plug (2).
Air bleed plug tightening torque: 8 – 12 N·m (5.9 –
8.9 lb ft)
NOTICE: Do not tighten the air bleed plug more than
its specified torque.

10. Loosen the air bleed plug (5) of the fuel pre-filter.
Move the priming pump (3) until no air comes out from
the air bleed plug.
11. Tighten the air bleed plug (5).
Air bleed plug tightening torque: 8 – 12 N·m (5.9 –
8.9 lb ft)
12. Repeat the steps from 10 to 11 for the additional pre-
filter (6) if equipped.
