Bench Operation

On a benchtop, the R&S NGE100B can either lie flat or stand on its feet. As shown in
Figure 4-1, feet on the bottom can be folded out to set the instrument in an inclined
position.

Positioning of instrument
The instrument must be positioned in a manner that allows the user to disconnect the
unit from the mains at any time and without restrictions.

Rack Mounting

The instrument can be installed in a 19 " rack-mount using a rack adapter kit.
Ambient temperature
Place the R&S NGE100B in an area where the ambient temperature is within +0 °C to
+40 °C. The R&S NGE100B is fan-cooled and must be installed with sufficient space
on the top to ensure a free flow of air. Required minimum distance: 1 rack unit (RU).
