ENGINE / COOLING SYSTEM

ENGINE REMOVAL

1. Remove both seats.
2. Disconnect the battery.
3. Remove upper and lower rear close off panels.
4. Remove cargo box, rear fascia and rear bumper.
Disconnect rear light electrical harness from
aluminum cross member.
5. Drain coolant and engine oil. See Engine Oil and
Filter Change, and Coolant Flush.
6. Remove the muffler. See Muffler Removal page 3.15.
7. Remove the exhaust pipe. See Exhaust Pipe
Removal page 3.16.
8. Remove the air box and engine air intake. See Air
Box Removal page 3.13.

9. Remove two hoses
boost control valve.
10. Remove air box, unbolt heat shield above exhaust
pipe to remove the aluminum cross member. Remove
aluminum plate below air box. Remove heat shield on
turbo.
11. Remove the three bolts
IMPORTANT
The oil line sealing washers MUST be replaced any
time the oil line/fitting is removed. Use only the
recommended washers shown in the Polaris Electronic
Parts Catalog.

12. Remove the oil drain hose
13. Remove two fasteners

and outlet hose
14. Remove two fasteners
the turbo.
15. Loosen four fasteners
bracket and pivot the top of the turbo bracket forward.
