Electron Multiplier Replacement

 To assemble the new electron multipliers
CAUTION Be careful not to damage the surface of the electron multiplier shield
(inside surface). This shield has been electropolished to prevent field emission.
1. Place the new electron multipliers on the work surface with the flat sides facing each other
(Figure 80).

2. For each multiplier, attach the HV cable to the HV connector that faces you.
The other HV connector is not used.
 To replace the electron multiplier assembly
1. Place the new electron multipliers on the top cover so that the flat sides, if provided, face
each other.
2. Insert the HV connectors into the HV feedthroughs
