3. (Velos Pro only) Place a multiplier shield retainer on the base of each multiplier as shown
in
Figure
81.
• For the left multiplier, place the shield retainer over the left-side screw holes.
• For the right multiplier, place the shield retainer over the right-side screw holes.
4. Using the 5/64 in. hex driver, secure each electron multiplier assembly to the top cover
plate with the hex socket-head screws and flat washers, if provided. Use the screw hole
location specified in
Ensure that the shield retainers remain tightly positioned against the multipliers' bases.
5. Remove the tissue that is over the vacuum manifold opening.
6. Reinstall the top cover plate over the vacuum manifold opening (see

After replacing the electron multipliers, reset and save the initial voltage settings to the
appropriate values for new multipliers, and then calibrate the electron multipliers' voltages.

1. Open the Tune Plus window (see
