6. For negative ion polarity mode, do the following:
a. Select the first multiplier device name.
b. In the Value box, type the mass spectrometer's device value listed in
Table 10. Electron multiplier device settings for negative ion polarity mode

Multiplier 2 high gain (V)
Multiplier 2 normal gain (V)
c. Click Set.

Follow the next procedure to save the multiplier settings or they are
lost if you reset the system.
To save the electron multiplier voltage settings
1. In the Tools list, choose Mass Calibration to open the Mass Calibration page
(Figure
84).
