Step 2 : Locate the faulty IOM by the amber LED that will be lit on top if there is a fault or by activating
the identify LED on the IOM being replaced.
Step 3 : Uninstall the IOM(s).
a. Locate the latch release on the IOM and press it in the direction shown in the following
image.
b. Grasp both handles, one handle in each hand, and lift evenly with both hands to ensure
the IOM comes out straight. This will prevent any damage to the pins on the internal
connectors.
Step 4 : Remove the new IOM from its packaging.
