1-11-1. BKFV-300

This BKFV-300 is the system to convert the video data recorded on the 35 mm or 16 mm film to the LOG
format data.
LOG format conforms to Logarithmic Distribution of Digitized 4:4:4:4 Video Signals Standards of
SMPTE and the cineon Digital Film System Version 2.1 Standard of Eastman Kodak Company.
The BKFV-300 is composed of the following boards.
. DP-345 Board
. DIF-120 Board
. CN-2243 Board
Warning during Installation

. Require installation of a board which should be performed by a person who has been well trained this
performance.
Be sure of damages-free of a board from a breakdown of static electricity.
. As to installation of the BKFV-300, updating the main model is required in advance in order to comply
with the BKFV-300.
Enforcement of 3.3 V system of the power sources.
Updating the software each for the System Control and Control Panel.
Compensating the timing of a signal of HD system (Circuit modification and PLD update) (Ap-
plied at Ver.2.0)
Software update and circuit modification of the MY-89 board. (Applied at Ver.2.0)
Attaching the insulation board to the extension board EX-632 (for the front).
Make sure that at least these items mentioned on the above have been completed beforehand.
. When BKFV-300 is installed to the unit with the following serial numbers, the updating described
below are necessary.
Affected serial numbers: FVS-T1000: 10003, 10302, 10303, 10304, 10401, 10402, 10403, 10404,
Check method whether updating is required
Check the indication on the board position label (F) (3-617-622-02) pasted on the front lower o the
processor chassis.
If the board name is displayed on the label in one line, the updating is required.
If the board name is displayed on the label in two lines, the updating is not required.
When updating is required, please contact your local Sony Sales Office/Service Center.
