3-4-9. Replacing the Film Pad (35)/(16)
Assemblies
The film pad (35) assembly and film pad (16) assembly are
installed to the retainer (35) assembly and retainer (16)
assembly respectively.
This section describes the replacement procedures of the
film pad (35) assembly of retainer (35) assembly. The
replacement procedures for the retainer (16) assembly are
the same.
Removal
1. Removing the retainer (35) assembly
Remove the retainer (35) assembly.
(Refer to Section 3-2-2.)

2. Removing the film pad (35) assembly
(1) Remove the four screws, and remove the filter case.
(2) Remove the two E-rings (E-1.5) shown in the figure,
and remove the film pad (35) assembly.

At this time, poly slider washer (2 mm dia., t = 0.5) at
E-ring side, two compression springs and two poly
washers (2 mm dia., t = 0.25) are removed together. Be
careful not to lose them.

Installation
3. Installing the film pad (35) assembly
(1) Install the new film pad (35) assembly and removed
parts in order shown in the figure.
(2) Secure the filter case with four screws.
4. Installing the retainer (35) assembly
(1) Clean the retainer (35) assembly.
(Refer to Section 3-2-2.)
(2) Install the retainer (35) assembly.
(Refer to Section 3-2-2.)
