5. Checking the E guide height
(1) Clean the gate base (35) assembly.
(Refer to Section 3-2-1.)
(2) Set the E guide height gauge to the gate base (35)
assembly as shown in the figure.

Be very careful not to scratch the surface of the gate
base (35) assembly.

(3) Press the E guide height gauge toward the film guide
pin (B)s of S side and T side shown in the figure.
(4) Check the clearances are not existed between the E
guide height gauge and S side film guide pin (B) and T
side film guide pin (B).
If the clearance is existed, perform the E guide height
adjustment according to step 6 and later.

3-4. Replacement of Periodic Replacement Part
(5) While keeping the state of step (3), check the clearance
between the E guide flange and E guide stay 35 using
the thickness gauge. (Check both T side and S side.)
Specifications:
For gate base (35) assembly: less than 0.03 mm
For gate base (16) assembly: There is no clearance.
If not to meet the specifications, perform the E guide
height adjustment according to step 6 and later.
