5-1. Test Mode for Servo System Check
This mode enables to check the operation of the motor and sensor from the PC connected to this unit by
inputting commands.
5-1-1. Equipments Required and Connection
Equipments required
. PC (installed with Microsoft Windows 95/98/NT, etc.)
. PC connection cable (9-pin-ELCO) : J-6516-010-A
. Terminal emulation software
This software is for performing the emulation of the terminal using the RS-232C port (COM port) of
the PC.
The supplied "HyperTerminal" is recommended for Microsoft Windows.
Setup
Set the RS-232C port (COM port) of the PC as follows.
. Communication baud rate : 38400 bps
. Data bit :
. Parity :
. Stop bit :
. Flow control :
Connection
1. Turn off the power of this unit.
2. Remove the rear panel (upper). (Refer to Section 2-7-2.)
3. Connect the connector (4 pin) of the PC connection cable (9 pin-ELCO) to the connector CN101 or
CN400 of the SV-191 board.
4. Connect the connector (D-sub 9 pin) of the PC connection cable to the RS-232C port (COM port) of
the PC.
