1. Stop the PTO
2. Close the valve (A) (see opposite)
3. Close the valve (F)

5.8.13 - RINSING WITH A CLEANING PRODUCT

REMARK
The residues of spray mixtures left in the sprayer (spray mixture tank, pump, pipes, boom, filters,
etc.) can cause phyto-toxic accidents if they are put back into suspension in a new spray mixture.
Sometimes rinsing with water is not sufficient: the water dilutes the remaining quantities of spray
mixture and eliminates them but is not sufficient to dissolve and remove the deposits of products.
The use of a specific cleaning product may be recommended by the manufacturers of
phytosanitary products.
IMPORTANT
Procedure:
Rinse the sprayer with clean water in the field, with the main tank empty, by diluting the used
volumes of spray mixture and spray onto the parcel that has just been treated.
Clean the sprayer with the cleaning product in a suitable area, away from any points of water or
sewers, that can run into streams and respecting the cleaning recommendations specified on the
packaging or instructions of the cleaning product.
Add the cleaning product in the rinsing tank, respecting the proportions stated so as to fill it
completely.
