– USING THE MACHINE –
IMPORTANT
Refer to and respect the instructions for the use of the spraying control unit.
IMPORTANT
Before spraying the spray mixture
• Determine before starting spraying the exact flow rate required by referring to the instructions
of the phytosanitary product manufacturer.
• Enter the required flow rate (reference quantity) into the control terminal.
• Respect the required flow rate [I/ha] when spraying,
◊ to obtain optimum phytosanitary treatment results.
◊ to avoid polluting the environment needlessly.
◊ Select the type of nozzle required, by referring to the spraying table and
◊ the expected advance speed,
◊ of the flow rate required and
◊ spraying characteristics (fine, medium or large droplets) of the phytosanitary product used
for the treatment.
► Consult the "Spraying tables" in the boom instructions.
► Take additional measures to avoid drift when the wind speed reaches 3 m/s and 5 m/s do
not spray!
REMARK
When the average wind speed is over 5 m/s, the leaves and branches move.
IMPORTANT
• The spray mixture tank is empty when the spraying pressure clearly drops off suddenly.
• If the pressure drops when the tank is not empty and the other operating parameters are
unchanged, check the suction and discharge filters and sieves to see if they are blocked.
IMPORTANT
To reduce the risks of drift
• Spray early in the morning or late at night (in general there is less wind at these times).
• Use anti-drift nozzles.
• Ensure the boom height is precise: the closer the line of nozzles is to the target, the lower the
risk of drift.
• Reduce the advance speed (to less than 8 kph).
• Respect the recommended spraying distances for the various phytosanitary products.
