5.10.17.2 Upper transmission
Ö UPPER OIL BATH TRANSMISSION (UNTIL APRIL 2015)
The oil bath transmission has two drilled tubes fitted with a dust
cover (1) over their upper part.
IMPORTANT
• The oil in the upper bearing must be 85W140
or oil with identical properties.
• The amount of oil in this bearing is 250 to
270 cm3.
IMPORTANT
• Before starting the machine, check the oil
level when cold using the label located in the
lower part of the tube on the left hand side.
• The level corresponds to the bearing's
horizontal axis.
• When the machine is in use, the dust cover
tubes (1) must be screwed in place.

• If water bubbles appear in the tubes, stop and
always drain immediately
• Never shorten the two vent tubes.
• On starting, do not worry that oil will rise in the tubes as this is normal.
• If the oil level falls, stop and check for any leaks.
• After use, do not worry about any difference in the colour of the oil in the two tubes.
To drain and service the bearing, refer to the corresponding paragraph in chapter " SERVICING ".
Ö UPPER TRANSMISSION (SINCE APRIL 2015)
REMARQUE
Since April 2015, the higher transmission is equipped with ball bearings lubricated for life, there is no
lubrication to do
