ADVICE
• When removing the negative terminal, loosen the battery terminal nut and
remove the intelligent battery sensor while keeping the cable attached. (Do not
loosen any nuts other than the battery terminal nut.)

• Do not use open flames in the vicinity of the battery when it is being charged.
Hydrogen gas is generated by the battery during the charging process;
accordingly, failure to observe this precaution can result in fire or explosion.

Removing the Battery
1. Remove the fixing bolts and holder
that secure the battery in place.
2. Remove the battery from the vehicle.
Charging the Battery
1. Place the battery to a location with
good ventilation and take off the
battery caps.
2. Charge the battery using a battery
charger.
