When Are the Seat Belt with Pretensioner and Frontal Airbags Not Likely
to Be Activated?
In the following cases, the seat belt with pretensioner and frontal airbags are less likely
to be activated even if they are working properly.
When the vehicle collides against a
utility pole or standing tree
When the vehicle has an offset
collision (one-sided collision)
When the vehicle gets under a vehicle
or obstacle
When the vehicle has a frontal angle
