CONTROLS AND INSTRUMENTS
CAUTION
• When the ESC or TCS are in operation, the hill descent control will be
deactivated. When this happens, adjust the vehicle speed by depressing the
brake pedal.
• When the temperature of the brake system rises, the hill descent control may
be deactivated.

Deactivating the Hill Descent Control

When the hill descent control is in
operation, hill descent control will return
to the activated state and the hill descent
control indicator light will come on when
any of the following conditions are met:
• When the selector lever is placed
in the "P" or "N" position (automatic
transmission model)
• When the slope gradient becomes
less steep
• When the vehicle speed exceeds
approximately 30 km/h (19 MPH)
• When the vehicle stops
When the hill descent control is in operation
or activated state, hill descent control will
be deactivated and the hill descent control
indicator light will go out when any of the
following conditions are met:
• When the hill descent control switch
is pressed
• When the vehicle speed exceeds
approximately 50 km/h (31 MPH)
• When there is an abnormality in the
hill descent control related systems or
the brake system
NOTE
• When there is an abnormality in the
hill descent control related systems
or the brake system, the ESC
warning light will come on.
