If one of the seat belts for the second seats
is not being used when the power mode
is switched to "ON" (models with passive
entry and start system) or the starter switch
is turned to the "ON" position (models
without passive entry and start system),
the second seat belt warning light comes
on and remains on for approximately 60
seconds.

If a seat belt is unbuckled after the
second seat belt warning light turns off,
the second seat belt warning light comes
on and remains on for approximately 30
seconds and then turns off. If a seat belt
is unbuckled while the vehicle speed
exceeds approximately 20 km/h (12 MPH),
the warning light flashes and the warning
buzzer sounds for approximately 30
seconds. The light goes out after a certain
period of time.
• The warning light will go out and the
buzzer will stop sounding as soon
as the passenger has buckled the
seat belt.
• When the power mode is switched
to "ON" (models with passive entry
and start system) or the starter
switch is turned to the "ON" position
(models without passive entry and
start system), this warning light
comes on even if there are no
passengers on the second seat.
