3.9 Safety-related input/output signals (SGE/SGA)
Processing signals for A PLC module that is compatible with the SIMATIC S7 315-2DP is used as the
840D PLC in the SINUMERIK 840D. Signals are processed according to what has
been programmed in the PLC user program (refer to Chapter 4, "Interface
signals for SINUMERIK 840D").

The machine status is transferred to the monitoring comparators for specific
PLC SGE/SGA
interface for 840D axes/spindles via the PLC inputs and the PLC user program.
