Boost temperature sensor
• The boost temperature sensor senses the intake
air temperature (charge temperature) and sends
it to the engine controller.
• The sensor unit is a thermistor the resistance of
which changes according to the temperature.
The engine controller applies voltage to the ther-
mistor and senses the temperature by the volt-
age divided by the resistance in the computer
and the resistance of the thermistor.

Coolant temperature sensor
• The coolant temperature sensor senses the
coolant temperature and sends it to the engine
controller.
• The sensor unit is a thermistor the resistance of
which changes according to the temperature.
The engine controller applies voltage to the ther-
mistor and senses the temperature by the volt-
age divided by the resistance in the computer
and the resistance of the thermistor.
