3) Disassemble No. 3 carrier assembly as
follows.
i) Remove mounting bolts (3).
ii) Using tool J5, remove holder (4).
iii) Turn over carrier assembly (2) and
set to press, then using tool J6, pull
out shaft (5) and remove gear assem-
bly (6).
iv) Remove bearings (7) and spacer (8)
from gear (6).
a If the parts are to be used again,
make match marks to prevent
any change in the combination
with the outer race.
v) Remove outer race (9) from gear (6).

5. No. 3 sun gear
1) Remove thrust washer (11) from No. 3 sun
gear (10).
2) Remove No. 3 sun gear (10).
6. No. 3 ring gear
Using eyebolts [3], remove No. 3 ring gear
(12).
7. Hub assembly
1) Remove lock plate (13).
2) Using tool J4, remove nut (14).
