Possible error cause
• No supply voltage connected to
the device.
• Device not yet recognised by the
PROFIBUS
Notice: The LED remains off until
the BPS 34 is recognised by the
PROFIBUS. Only after the
PROFIBUS has addressed the
BPS 34 for the first time do the
following status descriptions
apply.
• Error on the PROFIBUS.
• Incorrect wiring.
• Wrong termination.
• Incorrect PROFIBUS address set.
• PROFIBUS deactivated.
• Incorrect configuration.
• Parameter-memory overflow in
the control.
• Service operation active.
• No barcode tape present.
• Scanner positioned in total reflec-
tion
• Scanner not properly mounted

• Overall network expansion
