The dv/dt filter plus Voltage Peak Limiter limits the voltage gradient to values < 500 V/µs and
the typical voltage peaks to the values below (for motor cable lengths of < 300 m for frame
sizes FX, GX, HX or < 150 m for frame size JX):
< 1000 V at U
< 1250 V at 660 V < U
Option L10 is installed in an additional cabinet with a width of 600 mm that is located on the
right-hand side of the Motor Module.
Maximum pulse frequency
When a dv/dt filter plus Voltage Peak Limiter is used, the pulse frequency of the Power
Module must not exceed 2.5 kHz or 4 kHz. If a higher pulse frequency is set, then this could
destroy the dv/dt filter.
NOTICE
Do not operate without a connected motor
When a dv/dt filter plus Voltage Peak Limiter is used, the drive must not be operated
without a connected motor, otherwise the filter can be destroyed.
Note
Setting pulse frequencies
It is permissible to set pulse frequencies in the range between the rated pulse frequency and
the relevant maximum pulse frequency when a dv/dt filter plus Voltage Peak Limiter is used.
When doing so, take into account the "Current derating as a function of the pulse frequency;
refer to the Technical data.
Note
Parts of option L10 do not have nickel-plated copper busbars.
Restrictions
The following restrictions must be taken into account when a duv/dt filter is used:
● The output frequency is limited to no more than 150 Hz.
● Maximum permissible motor cable lengths:
