8.5 G51 to G54, temperature sensor module TM150
KTY temperature sensor connected with the correct polarity
The KTY temperature sensor must be connected with the correct polarity. A sensor
connected up with the incorrect polarity cannot detect if the motor overheats.
Connecting several temperature sensors
When connecting several temperature sensors, the individual sensors must be separately
connected to "+ Temp" and "- Temp".
It is not permissible to jumper the "+ Temp" and "- Temp" signals between the individual
terminal blocks!
Cable length and cross section
Cable length and cross section might influence the temperature measurement
(10 Ω cable resistance for a PT100, can falsify the measurement result by 10 %).
For cable lengths > 100 m, cables with a cross-section of ≥ 1 mm
The maximum cable length is 300 m.
Use shielded temperature sensor cables
Cables to connect temperature sensors must always be installed with shielding. The cable
shield must be connected to the ground potential at both ends over a large surface area.
Temperature-sensor cables that are routed together with the motor cable must be twisted in
pairs and shielded separately.
