Cleaning:
Use clean dry microfiber cloth or soft lint-free cloth
to remove any smudges located on the touchscreen.
Make sure not to apply too much pressure on the
screen when cleaning it. Never use paper towels or
tissue paper which contain wood fibers that will scratch
any plastic surface.
Periodic Maintenance:
Inspect the alarm periodically and perform a self test
(see Section 4.1.6 - Information Screen). This ensures
proper operation of the alarm. Any damaged com-
ponents inside the alarm should be replaced by an
authorized BeaconMedæs service technician.
For TotalAlert Infinity
alarms, Order Service Replace-
ment Kit by calling Customer Service at 1-800-4MED-
GAS.
Batteries:
The backup batteries and the coin cell battery on
the Advanced Module needs to be replaced every 5
years.
Do Not Dispose of in General Waste"
Follow local ordinances related to the proper dis-
posal of batteries.

Backup Battery Testing:
Open front panel and locate the grey power cable con-
necting to back of front panel. Disconnect grey cable
from front panel (power will be removed at this point).
If batteries are working, power LED light located on
front panel will be on. If power LED light is not on, bat-
tery's need to be replaced.
