When your cycler prompts you to "disconnect from
cycler":
Mask, then wash or sanitize hands as instructed
by your PD nurse.
Insert the stay•safe PIN connector connected to
your catheter extension set into the stay•safe
organizer clip below the control panel
Insert a new stay•safe cap on the left side of the
organizer
Turn the blue button on the PIN connector ¼ turn
clockwise and push it in to make sure that the
PIN has been inserted into the PIN connector
Close patient line (blue clamp)
Close catheter extension set clamp
Use aseptic technique to carefully disconnect
your catheter extension set from your patient line
and cap off with a new sterile stay•safe cap
Check that the new sterile stay•safe cap is
securely attached to your catheter extension set
before removing it from the stay•safe organizer
There are two tables on the following pages that list the
meaning of the messages and how the error can be
resolved. The first table (page 221) lists every error code
and the corresponding alarm or warning message. The
second table (page 230) lists all messages in alphabetical
order.
